Agnes M. Ferment

Agnes M. Ferment, 77, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday April 15, 2021, at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on May 15, 1943 in Scotland.

Agnes was a hard working woman with a heart of gold. She was a skilled and dedicated clerical worker for many years while residing in New Jersey. She was active in her community and proudly served as a past President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 23 in Keyport, New Jersey. Agnes relished trips to the casino and tending to her plants. In her free time, Agnes was an avid reader and Bingo enthusiast. Above all else, Agnes loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Agnes’ memory are her adoring husband of 43 years, George Ferment of Myrtle Beach; children, Gerard Tonner of Dumont, NJ, Janet Hoyt (Tim) of Cincinnati, OH, Elizabeth Webb (Sam) of Virginia Beach, VA, & Hugh Tonner (Dawn) of Bayville, NJ; her adoring grandchildren, Brian & Adam, Joey, Beth & George, Sam, Amber &Victoria, & Brianna, seven great-grandchildren; Payton, Harli, Maci, Levi, Kenzi, Joseph and Destinie; mother, Janet Fernie McNamara; brother, Hugh McNamara of Surfside Beach, SC; sisters, Catherine Bohm of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Ellen McGuire of Charlotte, NC; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

Agnes is reunited in passing with her father, Hugh McNamara.

A Celebration of Agnes’ life will be held on Monday April 19, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will gather to greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
