Trena Michelle Ellis

Trena Michelle Ellis, 56, passed away peacefully on Friday May 3rd, 2019 at her home in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. She was born on January 2, 1963 in Bennettsville, South Carolina.

An outgoing person, Trena was a free spirit and had a personality larger than life. Her smile and laughter could light up a room. She loved cooking, riding motorcycles, spending time outdoors and particularly loved walking on the beach. Above all else, Trena loved her family, her children and grandchildren. She will be forever remembered as an amazing mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Trena will be truly missed.

Left to cherish Trena’s memory are her mother, Patricia Blackwell; her beloved sons, Tyler, Chris & Brandon. Her adoring grandchildren, Taylor & Cameron; among supportive family members, close friends and neighbors. Trena is preceded in passing by her father, William C. Cottingham, Jr.

A Celebration of Trena’s life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

At the request of the family, flowers are welcome at the service, and they ask to consider making a memorial contribution in Trena’s name, directly to the funeral home, to offset final expenses.
