Thomas H. Riccio passed away at 77 years old on September 9, 2019, after losing his fight with ALS. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Tom was the son of Thomas Riccio and Martha (Cicala) Riccio. He was Born in the Bronx, New York and raised in Huntington, NY. He was a graduate of Walt Whitman High School.
Having played both Football and Wrestling during his high school years, his accomplishments as a wrestler afforded him a college scholarship to Hofstra University.
Tom remained actively involved in the sport of wrestling and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018. He will be most remembered for his contribution as head coach of the Riverhead High School Varsity Wrestling team and the children's lives he Impacted due to his passion.
In his retirement he actively spent his days playing golf with many of his close friends near his home he shared with his wife Ann in Baiting Hollow, New York.
Tom touched the lives of many who knew him and will forever be missed. He is survived by his loving wife Ann, daughter Debra,
granddaughters, Annabelle and Ave, sisters Janet and Joy, and brothers Daniel and Marty. He was predeceased in death by his beloved son Marc.
