Shirley Mae McCrackin

Shirley Mae McCrackin, 77, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away on Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at the Medical University of South Carolina. She was born June 23, 1941 in Conway, SC, daughter of the late Gertha Cannon and Carrie Ward Cannon.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Celeste McCrackin; a grandson, Travis Jay McCrackin; two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her two sons, Franklin McCrackin and his wife Kathy of Ridgeville, SC and Joseph McCrackin and his wife Julie McCrackin of Walterboro, SC; one sister, Mildred Borque and her husband Jerry of Garden City, SC; one granddaughter, Kasey McCrackin of Ridgeville, SC; two grandsons, Dylan McCrackin and Tyler McCrackin of Walterboro, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and her time spent working at Piggly Wiggly.

A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held 2:00pm Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Rev. John H. Williams for visiting and praying with her in the hospital as well as officiating the service.
