Shirley Marino Obituary

Shirley Mae Marino, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 30, 2019 at McLeod Hospital in Little River, South Carolina. She was born on October 25, 1936 in Jacobs Creek, Pennsylvania to the late Roy & Viva Blanch (Johnston) Sechrist.

Along with her parents, Shirley is reunited in death with her beloved husband of 57 years, Mr. William David Marino, Sr.; brothers, Jack, Lloyd, and Harry Sechrist; as well as her granddaughter, Stacy Marino.

A faithful woman with a heart of gold, Shirley prayed every day. In her free time, she loved to swim and visit the beach. Above all else for Shirley, was her family. She enjoyed cooking family dinners and spending as much time as she could with her loved ones. She will be truly missed.

Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her daughter, Vicki Marino (Bob Trusty) of Surfside Beach; her step-sons, William “David” Marino, Jr., (Mickey) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, & Randall Marino of Monessen, Pa; her adoring grandchildren, Cory MacDonald of Myrtle Beach, Scott MacDonald of Surfside Beach, & Rob Marino (Stacy) of Las Vegas, step-grandchildren, Nicole Trusty of Surfside Beach & Trevor Trusty of Myrtle Beach; great-grandchildren, Shea, Sydney, Max, & step-great-grandson, Mark; brother, Darrell Sechrist of Jacobs Creek, PA; sisters, Imogene Kirkpatrick of Perryopolis, Pa, Agnes Judy (Wayne) of West Newton, PA & Marlene Hrach (Tom) West Newton, PA; niece, Suzanne (Joe) Surdyn and her family; her close friend and daughter at heart, Vicki Wlock; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family; and many supportive friends and family.

A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held in Pennsylvania. Those details will be announced when finalized.
