Sherrie L. Haney

Sherrie L. Haney, 58, of Surfside Beach, SC passed away peacefully Sunday, January 13th, 2019. Born in England on February 28th, 1960, she was the daughter of Jack Haney and Brenda Bowers. 

A graduate of Socastee H.S. and Horry Georgetown Technical College, Sherrie also served in the US military (Army). Sherrie was a true southern beach girl.  She was a social butterfly who  loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and could often be see  attending bike rallies with her friends. Sherrie loved attending live music concerts and dancing.  She was passionate about her plants and gardening, as they were her "babies". But most of all, she was ecstatic to be a grandmother (Mimi). 

Left to cherish Sherrie's memory is her loving daughter Krystal Dearden and son-in-law Jordan Johnson, and her grandson Liam . Her lifetime true friend, Chris Dearden of Surfside Beach. Also, her sister Renee Kiser and her husband Pete and their daughter  Kendall. 
 
Contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or any organization fighting cancer. Sherrie had battled lung cancer and had several friends pass from cancer as well.

Visitation for the family will be at Burroughs Funeral Home on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a Memorial Service following at 6:00 pm.
