Scott E Morsey

Scott E. Morsey, 42, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on February 24, 1976 in New Milford, Connecticut.

A well-educated and gifted man, Scott loved to cook and build new recipes to share with friends and family. He excelled in the computer science field and worked for the South Carolina Lottery. In his free time, Scott adored his tropical fish and his cats. He found peace in listening to rock and roll and will be truly missed by all who had the honor of getting to know him.

Left to cherish Scott’s memory are his parents, Mark & Rhonda Banks Morsey of Surfside Beach, SC; his sister, Christine L. Mills and her husband, Brian of Linwood, NC; his paternal grandmother, Marguerite Morsey; his aunts and uncles, Christopher Batterman and Donna Batterman, Sandie Fletcher, Maureen Shirley, Wayne Morsey & Suzanne Voss; as well as many supportive friends and neighbors.

Scott is preceded in passing by his maternal grandparents, Edward & Ruth Banks as well as his paternal grandfather, Archie Morsey.

A Celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Saturday January 19, 2019 at 1:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

At the request of the family, memorial contributions in Scott’s name may be made in lieu of flowers to the National Kidney Foundation, 508 Hampton St #200, Columbia, SC 29201 or to Wolf Conservation, P.O. Box 421, South Salem, NY 10590
