Robert Andrew Huffman

Robert Andrew Huffman, 89, formerly of Lutherville, MD, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday May 13, 2019 at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on March 30, 1930 in Norphlet, Arkansas to the late Charlie Huffman & Rosa Barnett Huffman.

Along with his parents, Bob is preceded in passing by his sisters, Vernie Whiddon, Beth Powers Allan & Billie Oglesby Ketchum.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After many years of dedicated service and upon his honorable discharge, Bob began his second career with the Prudential which spanned 25 years.  Upon his retirement ,Bob was able to enjoy the finer things in life. When Bob wasn’t on the golf course or building in his woodworking shop, he could be found spending all of his time with his family. Bob will forever be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed.

Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his beloved wife, Stephanie Callan of Murrells inlet, SC; his children, , Cathy Coltrane Sayer also of Murrells Inlet, Bill Huffman and his wife Marie;  Zac Huffman and his wife Angie Pat Huffman and her partner Tim Orman; Vickie Huffman & Laurie Geiser and her husband Dan; six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.  His nephews Charles Oglesby, wife Donna and Bill Powers, wife Julie remained especially close to Bob in his later years.  In addition, he will be remembered by many other nieces and nephews; a large, loving extended family, and many supportive friends and neighbors.

The family wishes to acknowledge with heartfelt appreciation, the care and comfort Bob received is his final days from the Home Health team, Crescent Hospice and Stella Helton.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Monday June 17, 2019 at 10:00AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 572 Cypress Ave. Garden City, SC 29576 where full military honors will be accorded.
