Richard Herman, Jr.

Richard Herman, Jr., 71, passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday January 13, 2020 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He was born on December 17, 1948 to the late Richard J. Herman, Sr. & Virginia (Smith) Herman.

Richard was a talented man with a heart of gold. Following his retirement from the trucking industry, Richard was able to enjoy the finer things in life. He was an avid guitar player, golfer, loved listening to classic rock and was a Beatles fan. Richard also relished time spent with his family, was a member of the board for Shallow Creek and The Bays at Prince Creek and was a proud LSU fan. Richard will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Richard’s memory are his beloved wife, Alexandra (Fair) Herman of Murrells Inlet; son, Richard Herman and his wife, Megan of Rochester, NY; granddaughter, Lyla; daughter, Melissa Herman also of Rochester, NY; stepchildren, Jason Ganter, & Lindsay Stutzman, both of Rochester, NY; and his step-grandchildren, Natalie & Wesley.
