Mary “Carolyn” Naylor, 85, passed away peacefully with her devoted son by her side on Saturday September 21, 2019 at the Lakes at Litchfield Skilled Nursing Home in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. She was born on September 30, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late John Munter, Jr. & Grace (Hataway) Munter.
Along with her parents, Carolyn is reunited in death with her beloved husband of 20 years, Mr. Willard Naylor; her brother Charles “David” Munter and his wife, Dolores Ann “Dee” Munter.
Carolyn was an extraordinary woman with a heart of gold. She took pride in being a caregiver for many years to her mother, her husband’s mother, and finally to her late husband. She was selfless, steadfast and true to her cause. In the late 1990’s Carolyn’s love for golf, the beach and the great outdoors, encouraged her to relocate from Maryland, to sunny Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Carolyn will forever be honored and remembered for the amazing and dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend she truly was.
Left to cherish Carolyn’s memory are her son and apple of her eye, Mr. Brian L. Becker of New York, NY; nieces, Michelle Ann Munter & Melanie Dawn Munter as well as her nephew, Michael David Munter; extended family; and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday September 26, 2019 at Lakes at Litchfield Nursing Home, within the library, 120 Lakes at Litchfield Dr., Pawleys Island, SC 29585.
