Karen P. Sauthoff

Karen P. Sauthoff, 67, of Surfside Beach, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Born in Newark, NJ, Karen is the daughter of James F. Flynn and the late Arlene Flynn.  A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Karen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, creating ceramics, and traveling especially cruising.

Survivors include her loving husband, Bob Sauthoff of Surfside Beach; sons, Scott Ordway of Surfside Beach; Eric Sauthoff and his wife Jackie of Myrtle Beach; Cory Sauthoff and his wife Kenzie of Surfside Beach; father, James F. Flynn of Surfside Beach; grandchildren, Grace Roberts, Alexa Ordway, Kamryn Ordway, J.R. Sauthoff, Mia Sauthoff; brother, Ron Flynn of California; sister, Lynn Onley of Pennsylvania; niece and nephew, Lisa Sauthoff of New Jersey, Bill Sauthoff of Alaska; brother in law, Bill Sauthoff and his wife Karen of Myrtle Beach.

A funeral mass will be held 4:00 PM Monday, January 13, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Avenue, Garden City, SC 29576.  The family will receive friends at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2020 and on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A prayer service will be held Sunday at 6:00pm at Burroughs Funeral Home.
