Jose Ivan Gonzalez

Jose Ivan Gonzalez, 87, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Thursday July 18, 2019 at the Lakes at Litchfield Assisting Living Facility in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. He was born on February 13, 1932 in Guadalajara, Mexico to the late Jose Gonzalez & Maria Luisa (Castellanos) Gonzalez.

Along with his parents, Jose is preceded in passing by his sisters, Gloria Ortega & Diana Orozco.

Jose was a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon with a heart of gold. His true pride in life was his family and grandchildren.  "He will be truly missed for his caring demeanor, his intellect and his unique sense of humor." 

Left to cherish Jose’s memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Mrs. Joan Gonzalez of Pawleys Island, SC; their sons, David Gonzalez of Orlando, FL & Daniel (Michelle) Gonzalez of Columbus, OH; daughters, Diana (Jim) Falconi of Pittsburgh, PA & Donna (Charles) Homolka of Ft. Myers, FL; his adoring grandchildren, James, Joseph, John, Nicholas, David, Danielle, Lauren, Bobby, Alex and Matthew; as well as his loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Jose’s life will be held privately at a later date.
