Gloria P. Moreno

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Gloria Pascasio Moreno on June 3, 2019. Her final breath was in the presence of her loving family in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Born in the Philippines, Gloria was the daughter of the late Colonel Santiago Corpuz Pascasio and Placida Suguitan Mariano.  She has one surviving sister, Alma Peñalosa, from Manila, Philippines.

She is survived by her loving children, Gervacio Moreno Jr. from Ramstein, Germany, Dr. Roland and Jenniffer Moreno from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Theresa and Esteban Macanas, Jr. from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Dr. Virginia and Mark Allan Thornley from Sarasota, Florida. Her 11 grandchildren include Katrina Giselle, Jovani Ian, Janine Rae, Raphael Jon, Roderic Jon, Reginald, Linette Karina, Julianne Therese, Danielle Rae, Luke Mark, and Gabriella.

Gloria graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetic Medicine. She interned as a dietician in Richmond, Virginia, married and settled down in Norfolk, Virginia, ultimately dedicating her life to her 4 children.

She is remembered for her deep faith in God and her Marian devotion. Her passion, sassy spirit, and humbled warm personality will always be remembered.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM Friday, June 7, 2019 at Burroughs Funeral Home,Murrells Inlet, SC.  A Funeral Mass will be held 2:30 PM Friday, June 7, 2019 at St Andrew Catholic Church,3501 North Kings Highway,  Myrtle Beach, SC.
