Ellen F (Frikert) Duffy

Ellen F. Duffy, 72, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Murrells Inlet, SC. She was born on November 20, 1946 in Paterson, NJ to the late William L. Frikert & Marion P. Frikert.

Ellen was a passionate and faithful woman with a heart of gold. In her free time, Ellen loved to read, visit the beach, and listen to music at the Marsh Walk. Above all else, Ellen loved taking care of her family and spending time with her loved ones. She will truly be missed.

Left to cherish Ellen’s memory are her beloved husband of 50 years, Peter R. Duffy of Murrells Inlet, SC; their children, Michael Duffy of Collegeville, PA, Thomas Duffy and his wife, Laurie of Johns Island, SC & Suzanne Duffy of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Brian Frikert and his wife Janet of Avalon, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews, a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors both locally and in New Jersey and Pittsburgh.

A mass of Christian burial for Ellen F. Duffy will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 10:30AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Inurnment will immediately follow in the Church's Columbarium.

At the request of the family, memorial contributions in Ellen’s name may respectfully be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of one’s choice.
