Donald E Hinds

Donald E. Hinds, 81, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Monday, January 7, 2019 at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He was born on December 3, 1937 in Mullins, South Carolina to the late Nathan Hinds & Fannie Belle Pace Hinds.

Along with his parents, Don is reunited in death with his brothers, Marvin & Bill Hinds.

Don was an enthusiastic man with a heart of gold. He loved watching sports, solving crossword puzzles and enjoyed purchasing an occasional lottery ticket. To Don, his wife, was his whole world and the greatest love of his life. Don loved Eva’s cooking and spending all of his time with her. Don will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish Don’s memory are his soulmate and wife of 59 years, Mrs. Eva Hinds of Murrells Inlet; their children, Beth Dolan and her husband, Russell of Sykesville, Maryland & Donald E. Hinds, Jr. of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Kira Dolan & Brooke Dolan-Kyriacou and her husband, Marcus; great-grandson, Calix Kyriacou; sister, Cadell Smith of Mullins, SC; as well as several nieces & nephews; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00AM at Garden City Baptist Church, 501 Pine Ave. Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don’s name to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave N #101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
