Charles Hagood Martin Jr.

Charles Hagood Martin Jr., 65, of Myrtle Beach, passed away on November 21, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Charles was born October 3, 1954 in Pittson, Pennsylvania, a son to the late Charles H. Martin Sr. and Barbara V. Suda. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as his brother Andrew Martin.

In life, Charles worked for Santee Cooper for 30 years as a meter technician. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Melanie Singleton Martin of Myrtle Beach, his son Charles Jacob Martin of Ft. Collins, Colorado, his daughter Barbara Ashton Martin of Myrtle Beach and his granddaughter Savannah Grace Martin.

A memorial service will be held in Charles’ honor on Sunday, November 24 at 2:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Memorial donations can be made in Charles’ honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
