Charles Stedman Gibbs

Charles Stedman Gibbs, 72, formerly of Laurel, MD and Bartlesville, OK, and most recently of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Born in Honolulu, Oahu, Charles was the son of the late Charles Melvin Gibbs and Mary Kalauli Gibbs.  He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, SC where he was active in Help4Kids and was a St. Michael’s Adoration Chapel volunteer.  Charles loved to drive which allowed him to indulge in his passion for exploring. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife, Marilyn Gibbs.

Survivors include his children, Marilyn Michelle Gibbs, Aaron D. Gibbs and Charles E. Gibbs, all of Bartlesville, OK; girlfriend, Diane Scott, Ft. Collins, CO; brother, Nicholas Gibbs, Kingwood, TX; nephew, Derrick (Ashley) Gibbs, Kingwood, TX.

A mass will be held 8:00 AM Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church with interment following in the church columbarium.
