Carl Edsel Bohler

Carl Edsel Bohler, 61, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Friday May 17, 2019 at his home in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on September 26, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Carl proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the 82nd Airborne. Following his honorable discharge, Carl was able to enjoy the finer things in life. He worked as a machinist/mold maker for over thirty years at Conbraco and was the original owner of B&M Cycles with partner Dick Martin and then branched off to start his own motorcycle shop, Carl's Chop Shop for over two decades. Along with building motorcycles he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing in the creek, and surfing the waves. Above all else, Carl loved his family with his whole heart. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Left to cherish Carl’s memory are his parents, Rev. Douglas Edsel Bohler & Frances Way Bohler of Murrells Inlet; his beloved wife, Celia “Kay” Palmer Bohler also of Murrells Inlet; their son, Jed Bohler and his wife, Cappie of Murrells Inlet; his adoring grandchildren, Jones and Weston; sisters, Donna McGregor and her husband, Howard of Murrells Inlet & Peggy Jaeger and her husband Bruce of Lakeland, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews; a large, loving, extended family & many supportive friends and neighbors.

The family will gather to greet friends on Tuesday May 21, 2019 between 5:00PM and 7:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

A Celebration of Carl’s life will also be held on Saturday June 1, 2019 between 1:00PM and 4:00PM at Uncle Tito’s, 4124 US-17 Bus. Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
