Betty Dean Kersey

Betty Dean Kersey, 63, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells inlet, South Carolina. She was born on December 11, 1955 in Conway, South Carolina to the late Keever Elbert Kersey, Sr. & Marian Omega Lowimore Kersey.

Along with her parents, Betty is reunited in death with her brother, Alton Levon Kersey.

A faithful woman with a heart of gold, Betty was an active member of Live Oak Church in Murrells Inlet. Prior to her retirement, Betty was a proud cook for many years in the Murrells Inlet area. Above all else, Betty loved her family and she will be truly missed by all who had the honor of getting to know her.

Left to cherish Betty’s memory are her brothers, Keever Kersey, Jr. and his wife, Vicky of Conway, Neil Kersey of Chesterfield & Terry Kersey and his wife, Brandi of Murrells Inlet; nieces, LeAnne, Kimberly, & Felicia; nephews, Daniel, James, Camilo & Raymond; as well as many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Saturday April 20, 2019 at 11:00AM at Live Oak Church, 11331 Hwy 707, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

At the request of the family, memorial contributions in Betty’s name in lieu of flowers may respectfully be made directly to Burroughs Funeral Home, (843)651-1440 to offset the final expenses.
