Capt. Lee Alan Conner, 58, of Surfside Beach passed away peacefully at his residence Thursday, September 07, 2017. He was born June 24, 1959 in Amarillo, TX, son of the late Lloyd Cecil and Vera Louise Ledbetter Conner.
In addition to his parents, Capt. Lee is preceded in death by a sister Suzie Conner Jordan.
Survivors include one brother, Mike Conner and his wife Terry of Florida; one sister, Patsi Conner Marlowe of Murrells Inlet; nephews, T, Robbie, KJ, Timmy, and Jamie; niece, Kristy and a brother-in-law, Kenny Jordan.
Capt. Lee was a 1976 graduate of Socastee High School and was a boat Captain in the area for many years. He was a Captain aboard the Mind Set, Ashley B and Large Time.
A celebration of Capt. Lee's life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, 1000 Hwy 544, Conway, SC 29526.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Capt. Lee’s name to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Many memories as far back as childhood bring Lee Alan to mind. He was well liked by our entire family. My prayers are with you, his family in this time as I know how hard it is to begin another chapter in life without our loved ones!
