Sherrie Deaton Lathe



Sherrie Deaton Lathe, 69, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday August 29, 2017 at her home in Myrtle Beach. She was born on March 16, 1948 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Bruce and Margarite Rush Deaton.

Along with her parents, Sherrie is preceded in passing by her brother, Banks Deaton.
Sherrie was the owner and operator of Lathe Plumbing of Charlotte. She was a member of Hartis Grove Baptist Church in Indian Trail, NC. Following her relocation to Myrtle Beach, Sherrie began working for Ocean Lakes Family Campground. Her true passion and love, was her family. She will forever be remembered as a loving a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and more recently, great-grandmother.

Left to cherish Sherrie’s memory is her husband, Warren Shorey Lathe, III of Myrtle Beach, her son, Warren Shorey Lathe IV and his wife Robin of Monroe, NC; her daughters, Lisa Lathe Marze of Myrtle Beach, & Michelle Thielen and her husband David of Monroe, NC; her grandchildren, Josh, Hannah, Tyler, Khristian, Joshua, Kelly, Jacob, Madelyn, Shelby, Tyler, Tanner, Kennedy, and Ryleigh; her great-granddaughter, Paisley; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends and neighbors who had the honor of getting to know her through the years.

A Celebration of Sherrie’s Life will be on Saturday September 2, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet. The family will greet friends at 3:00 PM until the time of service.
