Mitchell Earl Pierce, age 61, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully Friday June 16, 2017 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Born in Hicksville, OH, Mitchell is the son of Leona Lynnette Pierce and the late Donald Earl Pierce. Mitchell was a loving, kind and humble person who found joy in helping others and would give the shirt off his back if it would improve the life of another. He was an avid fisherman and golfer and an extraordinary handy man who loved building things and tinkering with boat motors. In addition to his father, Mitchell is predeceased by his sister, Margaret Ann Pierce.
Survivors include his children, Michael Loyd, OH; Sarah Jane Schrom; Mick Schrom; Cory Pierce; brother, Michael (Peggy) Pierce, OH; aunt, Brenda Harrington, FL; cousin, Deana (James) Ginn and a large extended family.
A private memorial service will be held.

The most vivid memory I have about Mitch would be all of the patches that Grandma Bunting sewed on the backside of his britches to keep him stylish back in the 70's! Sorry to hear of his passing. My sympathy to the family.

Good childhood friend of mine. Lots of fun and great memories. I Lost his fishing pole once in river due to large fish, he caught his pole back about a year later. Rip my friend.
